Are you an innovator looking for funding?

The European Innovation Council (EIC) has started a pilot that supports top-class innovators, entrepreneurs, small companies and scientists with bright ideas and the ambition to scale up internationally. It brings together the parts of Horizon 2020 that provide funding, advice and networking opportunities for those at cutting edge of innovation.

The EIC helps to bridge the equity funding gap and get start-ups to the stage where private sector investors will get involved, taking innovators in any sector from idea and invention to investment and scale-up.

The EIC pilot package, with a fund of over €2.2 billion, offers two options:

  • Pathfinder: for innovative researchers with ideas for the next breakthrough technology.
  • Accelerator: for entrepreneurs, startups and SMEs with a business plan to develop and scale up a high-risk innovation (application deadlines 18 March, 19 May and 7 October 2020).

Full details on how to apply can be found on the EIC website.  Or read the innovator’s guide to the EIC!
