The Intarsia Building is located on the biotech cluster of Arenberg Science Park. The science park is part of one of Europe’s major innovation hotspots. It is a modern building with flexible floors, good light entrance and great views. The Intarsia Building benefits from local academic research and access to a skilled workforce.

Lab space

The Intarsia Building consists of 37% (dry) lab space and 40% office space. The building was completed in 2018 and is one of the best and most modern location combining lab and office space in Leuven. Perfect for its multi-tenant function for innovative entrepreneurs.

The building has an area of 6,379m2 with a car park nearby. Because the building is relatively new, it was built according to modern sustainability standards: materials are natural and non-toxic, the focus during development was on the life cycle and the ability to be reused (cradle-to-cradle). Good energy-efficient LED lighting is used in the building and solar panels have been installed on the roof.

Community

With the Intarsia building, tenants gain access to the growing Kadans community, regionally, nationally and internationally. Through network events, Kadans’ online platform, and channels such as podcasts and webinars, among others, Kadans is strengthening its innovation ecosystem. We optimize the success of our tenants by creating an environment that meets their core needs. We do this by offering so-called ecosystem services on top of our real estate solutions. These services are provided by organisations in our partner network on a regional, national and international level.
