ZernikeLab

The ZernikeLab is a multi-tenant building of over 2,600 m2 located on the Zernike Campus in Groningen. Its location next to the University of Groningen and Hanzehogeschool Groningen makes ZernikeLab a perfect location for companies working in the knowledge-intensive sector.

The building was developed in 1992, initially under the name Witholts Bioscience Business Center, named after Prof. Dr. Bernard Witholt. Professor Witholt has been an important pioneer in the field of valorization and entrepreneurship, and also founder of the current Zernike Campus. The physical connection between science, educational institutions and the business community has been shaped here since the early 1990s.

Want to rent office or lab space?

The ZernikeLab consists of twelve units for office space. The technical equipment is centrally located in a technical room to which each unit is directly connected. This also makes it possible to create a lab space in the units.

In addition, the ZernikeLab has two high-quality meeting rooms equipped for general use by the users of the building. There is also an equipped pantry/canteen for shared use.

Community

Through the ZernikeLab, tenants gain access to the growing Kadans community, regionally, nationally and internationally. Through network events, Kadans’ online platform, and channels such as podcasts and webinars, among others, Kadans is strengthening its innovation ecosystem. We optimize the success of our tenants by creating an environment that meets their core needs. We do this by offering so-called ecosystem services on top of our real estate solutions. These services are provided by organizations in our partner network on a regional, national and international level.
